The Garden Cottage is a truly idyllic place to stay with the feel of a tropical safari retreat. Tucked away among the hibiscus and shaded by a coconut palm, the quiet thrum of birdsong and singing frogs sends you to sleep at night and accompanies your mornings. We loved our lazy breakfasts on the kitchen veranda overlooking the gardens - front row seats to a family of monkeys and visiting humming birds. The bed, bathroom and storage space are just right and the decor is charming. Mamta is a font of knowledge on Barbados including the island’s lesser known attractions and great places to eat, shop or rent cars. You can walk to the beach and the plentiful bars and restaurants along St Lawrence Gap; everything else is a bus ride away. We will definitely be coming back. ~ Anna K

I very much enjoyed staying in Kismet Cottage this December. It is newly and beautifully decorated cottage, with a very “at home” feel to it and with everything you need in it. Mamta even found an extra desk that I needed in order to do some work while I was there. Everything was very clean, the place is just next to the forest and separated from the rest of the yard, so there is a privacy and peace when you are sitting at your outdoor terrace/kitchen area. All windows have mosquito nets, which I find very useful (since, yes, there are many mosquitos here, bring your spray). The cottage is 5-7 min walk to the beach and a nearby shop. Mamta was very responsive to everything that I needed. If I need a place again, I will happily come back to this lovely cottage, I very much recommend it! Ivana ~ I M

We had everything we needed for such a peaceful and relaxing stay .. loved the tranquilty the wildlife, especially the monkeys passing through daily .. Reggae buses run from the top of the road to Oistens fish fry, amazing food as always ! or to Bridgetown which we used regularly and are a cheap way of getting to other beaches along the coast .. 15 mins walk down to Dover beach and the Gap .. all in easy reach .. wish we could of stayed longer !! .. always a pleasure to visit Barbados our "Happy Place " look forward to coming back..
